Today we present to you the third Bahnoperator x Railcolor Design locomotive: ELL lease locomotive 193 942, which can go to Italy, brings attention to the operator’s ‘Marco Polo Express’ linking China with Europe:
It is the first time we could combine the Bahnoperator design for a special theme. On each side, you see Marco Polo from Venice and his famous journey to the ‘Orient’. The locomotive depicts the route via Turkey and Mongolia all the way to Beijing. On the left, you see Venice in a 13th-century fresco, and on the right, you see a 13th-century Chinese ink drawing of a landscape. Marco Polo is famous for his book ‘Il Millione’ about his (for that time) unique journey in 1271-1295, during which he visited Persia, China, and India.
On 14.06.2024, during the Intermodal in Poland 2024 Congress in Małaszewicze, the machine was officially presented and got ist name: Magda.
