A new eye-catcher for freight services in the Netherlands and Germany; MRCE X4E-627 was released from work today after a complete transformation from standard black into an extra shiny, red-metallic livery. For the first time, Dutch rail operator Raillogix has a multi-system electric in its corporate design.
You may have seen the brand name Raillogix before as the company is also known for its specially stylized ex-NS 1600 series locomotives. These were introduced several years ago in the Netherlands. Now it is time to go cross-border.
MRCE X4E-627 was chosen for the new design. Special is that a red-metallic color vinyl was chosen as a basis, something quite unique in modern railways. The Siemens Vectron A10 locomotive, DE-AT-PL-NL-CZ-SK-HU-RO, will predominantly be used in the Netherlands and Germany. It will haul freight trains of Rail Force One, for example, a sister-company of Raillogix and both part of Dutch Rail Innovators Group. 627 was released from work today.
