On 17.07.2024, Alstom signed a contract with Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) to upgrade up to 449 vehicles with the ETCS Baseline 3.6, with an order volume of over EUR 100 million. With a project duration until 2030, Alstom wants to support ÖBB in providing reliable, cross-border passenger and freight transport throughout Europe.
