[BE] No time to waste: Railpool 186 454 gets a special Lineas wrap

On 18.03.2023, Lineas revealed the new livery for Railpool 186 454, promoting rail freight as the sustainable option over road-based traffic. The livery concept was conceived out of an employee contest, won by Pieter Vanraefelghem and further developed by Railcolor Design.

The DE-AT-CH-IT-BE configured TRAXX MS2e was rolled out in Zeebrugge under the eyes of numerous trainspotters, eager to get a first glimpse of the new livery. The design shows a clear choice to the viewer: A murky non-sustainable side full of road-based transport, or a bright side based on sustainable rail transport.

This is the second time Lineas has held a design contest under its employees, as it has done before in 2019. The previous contest was won by Kris De Smedt, with his Modalshift concept. Just like the new design, they both promote Lineas’ clear message of rail being the better alternative to road-based transportation.

We are happy to have contributed to this project, and congratulate Pieter for having his vision become a reality!
