The winter break is over early for Railpool, as it starts the new year with a large order of Vectron locomotives from Siemens Mobility.
Today Railpool and Siemens announced the signing of a framework agreement for the manufacturing and delivery of up to 100 Vectrons. The first call-off order was placed with the contract’s signing, and it secures 70 multisystem (MS) locomotives.
“It’s becoming more and more important for our customers to be able to use their locomotives flexibly based on the needs in different European countries. With the purchase of additional Vectron locomotives with universal applicability, we are responding to these market needs and are also sending a positive and ecofriendly signal in a growing railway sector,” – Torsten Lehnert, CEO of Railpool GmbH
