We recently reported on WRS Deutschland, adding ex-DB 120 series locomotives to its fleet. Nürnberger Leasing was the first to acquire such electrics from Deutsche Bahn in 2018. This company recently added a second machine to its operational fleet.
A contribution by Tobias Peters: Nürnberger Leasing 120 201-9 (ex-Deutsche Bahn) on 14.05.2019. This locomotive was acquired in October 2018. After an overhaul, it entered service for Bahnlogistik24 from Dresden. This summer, a second machine was added to the fleet of Nürnberger Leasing: 120 205-0, again hired to Bahnlogistik24. Both locomotives still have their DB-red livery, with the DB-logos gone missing.
The ‘120.2’ subseries was created in the 00s, when (initially) five 120.1 series electrics were retrofitted for use in regional service, in combination with double-deck trains. Amongst other things, the locomotives got a destination display and a central train dispatching system.
