Certain locomotives or trains attain legendary status in every country. In Slovakia, this honour belongs to the Class 350 locomotives. Nicknamed “Gorilla” at the time of their creation due to their remarkable power, these locomotives are now approaching a well-deserved retirement after 50 years of active service. Of the original 18 locomotives, the first four have been decommissioned, with two transferred to the museum for preservation.
