A new trend? Adjusting the design of a more modern locomotive to historic trains? We have a 101 in Rheingold disguise, the narrow-gauge RhB 626 in Alpine Classic Pullmann Express design, and now Sybic locomotives in France join:
26005 and 26019 got blue stickers on most body panels and the same golden trim as the classic passenger coaches. Although not credited, Thibault Constant of Simply Railway matched the VSOE style to Sybic’s exterior. Léonie Hémon created the unique logo on the side of the 26000s.
Jean-Christophe Grandvalet made this excellent picture of SNCF 26005 in Louvres on 13.10.2024 with VSOE N°27021 from Paris to Basel:
With the new stickers, ‘the result of a long-standing business relationship with the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express’, SNCF Trains Spéciaux and the SNCF Voyageurs Group want to display their commitment to their customer and communicate elegance and refinement.
On 12. and 13.10.2024, SNCF Trains Spéciaux and VSOE held a VIP weekend, including the inauguration of a brand new luxury car signed by the artist JR at Paris Gare d’Est.
The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express (VSOE) is a private luxury train service from London to Venice and other European cities. It is currently owned by Belmond.
