On 25.09.2024, at Innotrans, the livery for Munich’s new S-Bahn and its 90 trains was presented. A Bavarian look, as the region is the only investor in these trains:
Announced last year, this massive order for 90 new Siemens 200m (!) trains for the Munich S-Bahn is one of the Siemens highlights of this Innotrans 2024.
The people in charge of Siemens, the München S-Bahn, and Bavaria unveiled the livery these trains will wear. The front of the trains will be blue, with a diamond motif identical to the Bavarian flag. Siemens has stated that the first trains will enter service at the end of 2028.
