Yesterday, Railcolor presented Egypt; today, we go back to Italy: In January 2022, Arsenale and the French Accor Group announced their luxurious train concept, ‘Orient Express La Dolce Vita’. The coaches for this project are under construction, and now interior mock-ups have been unveiled:
La Dolce Vita Orient Express will open official ticket sales in April, kicking off a unique travel experience in Italy. This announcement was made in Milan at the DUCO Travel Summit 2024 while unveiling interior mock-ups. The launch comes after the successful ‘priority booking’ phase that began in December 2022, during which more than 400 cabins were booked.
La Dolce Vita Orient Express is the first Orient Express-branded initiative created by Arsenale and Orient Express, companies active in the luxury hospitality sector, with the support of Trenitalia – Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato, Fondazione FS Italiane and Treni Turistici Italiani. With different iconic journeys, all characterised by luxury, culture and history, La Dolce Vita Orient Express has the first departures scheduled for spring 2025.
Travellers will be able to choose different itineraries (depending on the season), each of which will allow them to discover the richness of the Italian regions:
- Coast to coast, Venice and Portofino;
- La Bella Italia, Venice and Siena;
- Matera and Palena ‘The Italian Trans-Siberian’;
- Montalcino, ‘Journey through Italian Wines’;
- Monferrato ‘Wine and Truffle’;
- Southern Italy – Maratea and Palermo;
- An exploration along the coast from Palermo to Rome, ‘Discovering the Tyrrhenian Coast’;
- ‘The Wonders of Sicily and the Mediterranean’.
There will be space for 62 passengers. Prices are customised according to the travel itinerary and departure date. The starting price for a one-night itinerary is € 3.,500 per person in a deluxe cabin and € 4.700 per person in a suite.
