[NL / BE] Stadler Euro9000: green light for operations in Belgium and the Netherlands

Stadler’s Euro9000 locomotive has received type approval for operation in the Netherlands and Belgium. This long-awaited approval extends the operational area to DE-AT-CH-BE-NL. This means only Italy is still missing. This authorisation is expected for 2024 and would complete the desired country-specific package of ELP and Alpha Trains, the two main customers for the ‘9000’. 

ELP has 30 locomotives on order, of which seven are in service:
