It is 2023, and for the first time, a new train is being delivered to a French passenger operator that is not SNCF (!). In 2021, Transdev was awarded the operational contract for regional trains (TER) on Marseille – Toulon – Nice, starting in the summer of 2025. This was the outcome of the first tender for regional services in France since the competition in passenger rail opened.
