[CZ] ČD 380 developments: ETCS, early retirement, authorization Germany [updated]

The Class 380 electrics of ČD may be withdrawn in 2025, the Czech website Zdopravy reports. So far, no affordable way has been found to retrofit the machines with ETCS, which will become mandatory on large parts of the network in Czechia. Alternative solutions will be reallocating the  380s to non-ETCS lines or trying to sell them.
