Last summer, during the official presentation for the Smartron for Bulgaria and Romania, it was made public that Romanian operator E-P Rail has ordered such locomotives to further expand its fleet. In the meanwhile, several Smartrons for Romania have completed their acceptance run around Munich – one can recognize them by a big “RO” in the UIC raster on their frames.

The third one in a row! ’91 80 6192 027-1 D-SIEAG’ is the latest Smartron for Romania to appear near Munich. Christian Bauer caught it on 28.05.2020 in Paindorf:

We already saw 192 026 (below), but there was another sighting of a Romanian-marked Smartron this week. On 19.05.2020 and Klaus Seidl was able to photograph ’91 80 6192 020-6 D-SIEAG’ in Unterweilbach:

’91 80 6192 026-3 D-SIEAG’ is one of these locomotives. It was spotted by Christian Bauer in Paindorf, while on a run between Allach and Reichertshausen:
Notice that 026 has no ‘short’ number on its fronts:
