Yesterday we already brought you a first look onto the new IDF version of Bombardier’s Omneo train. In Crespin (FR) currently 42 IDF-Omneos are being built. Valérie Pécresse, president of the Region Ile-de-France (IDF) announced that the regio will order another 99 sets 83 sets for Paris suburban services. Order volume: around 1 billion euro.
The new trains will be used on the RER N Paris – Dreux (80 sets) on the Malesherbes-branch of RER D (19 sets). Delivery will take place in 2019-2021.
Frame contract of around 860 sets. Currently ordered [updated 21.02.2018]:
