Every two years, the Transport Logistic exhibition takes place in Munich. The event is, as the name states, about logistics, and it includes all transportation modes and technologies. You’ll see plans, ships, electric cars, driverless trucks, drones, and much more. Of course, Railcolor focuses on rail transport, and the newest rail vehicles on display.
The Munich exhibition center has a rail connection, so the newest locomotives and freight cars can be exhibited close to the exhibition halls. We estimate that for example, in 2019, around 30-40 innovative freight cars were on display, plus several locomotives.
Compact and Informal
For locomotive manufacturers, lease companies, and rail operators the Transport Logistic is of great importance. Compared to the InnoTrans, that other big railway rolling stock event in Germany, Transport Logistic is compact and informal. The railway sector presents its products in three different halls (and in the outdoor area). You can have talks with people on all levels, in all disciplines. Maybe Transport Logistic is predominantly a large network event, during which the latest information about rail freight is shared and deals are being made.
