RTB Cargo has recently begun replacing its fleet of Railpool TRAXX MS2e locomotives with new A54 Vectrons—an ideal moment to debut a fresh new livery on the rails. Locomotive 193 174 was among the latest to receive the update in Hagen, Germany, and now proudly sports a striking, wavy European-themed design.
The design, dubbed ‘Europa II,’ features flags of five European countries where RTB Cargo operates: Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, and Hungary. These flags have been seamlessly integrated with the existing Railpool branding, forming a dynamic wave that stretches across the entire locomotive. Each side features a unique slogan—’Gemeinsam durch Europa’ on one, and ‘No borders on our way’ on the other—emphasising the spirit of cross-border cooperation and unity.

On 17.04.2023, 193 174 already made its ‘maiden voyage’ in the new livery on the back of a tanker train to Gent-Zeehaven (BE).
