On December 14, 2024, the Deutsche Bahn (DB) reopened the Riedbahn rail line between Frankfurt/Main and Mannheim after a five-month complete renovation. Starting tonight at 11 PM, trains will resume service. This project is part of DB’s broader effort to modernize Germany’s heavily used rail network.
