After an extensive rebranding program, during which MRCE locomotives got Beacon Rail logos, we almost forgot you could also repaint them!
189 909 / ES64F4 009 is the first in the complete Beacon Rail design. It has been repainted in blue and has a grey frame, as well as the known big yellow circles and horizontal lines. Most ex-MRCE machines had two Beacon logos per side next to the cab doors, but lately, we have seen a change here, with only one logo per side at the right end of the horizontal yellow line. Not 909; it has two logos.

Beacon-blue on electric locomotives is still very rare:
- 193 639 > came out of the factory like this, but the design is a quick redesign of the MRCE-style, still with white/red fronts
- 7193 800/801 > recently outshopped by Siemens in full blue/yellow design;
- several Traxx AC1/AC2/MS2 locomotives got a Beacon repaint, but in the older version with gold details instead of yellow.
