[locomotive] The Smartron look is back [updated]

Are we starting all over again? In 2018, Siemens released the first stripped-down Vectron in capri blue—better known as Smartron—with only the essential components for services in Germany. The machine got number 192 001 (now e.g.o.o.) and a unique Siemens Smartron design. 192 002 (now PIMK Rail) followed soon after.

Update 15.08.2024

On 28.06.2024, a new locomotive in the same styling was seen in Munich. In August, Axel Schaer met the machine during test runs in Stendal:

  • 91 80 6192 114-7 D-SIEAG = Vectron 1397 = Siemens 23455 – for DE only.
