In 2007, Stadler delivered five FLIRT EMUs to DB Regio Nordost for passenger services along the Baltic coast, connecting Rostock, Stralsund, Lietzow, Sassnitz, and Binz (RE9). However, this ended in December 2019 when ODEG took over with Desiro ML after an emergency procedure.
