[locomotive] Grain on Speed: The first ELP Euro9000 for Austrian operator LTE

Grain and a train continue to go hand in hand for Austrian freight operator LTE.

In October 2022, Logistik- und Transport (LTE) from Austria announced leasing four locomotives from European Loc Pool (ELP). Railcolornews brought you the two EuroDuals that have been in service since 2023, but now it is the turn of the first Euro9000. It was delivered by ELP on 02.05.2024, and once again, it wears a grainy design:

The design fits as LTE will use the new locomotives for its heavy grain and other agricultural trains. The new Euro9000s will drive trains from Hegyeshalom to the Netherlands. LTE plans to save on operational costs, eliminating the need for shunting locomotives and traction change.
