Grain and a train. The newest EuroDual from Spain just got a design for Austrian freight operator LTE:
In October 2022, Logistik- und Transport (LTE) from Austria announced leasing four locomotives from European Loc Pool (ELP) starting in 2023. 2x EuroDual and 2x Euro9000, all to enter service in 2023. The Euro9000s will come later, but the EuroDuals made it one time, both with a grainy design:
2159 256 ‘Grainy day’
2159 259 ‘Grainbow’
Two months later, 2159 259 was released in a different design, yet similar theme:
The design fits as LTE will use the new locomotives for its heavy grain and other agricultural trains. EuroDuals will connect Hegyeshalom (HU) to Germany, while the Euro9000s will drive trains from the same Hungarian city to the Netherlands. LTE plans to save on operational costs, eliminating the need for shunting locomotives and traction change.
