In February 2023, Siemens completed two Vectron Dual Mode locomotives for Spitzke. These were handed over in a neutral blue colour. This has changed now:
This article refers to the following two locomotives – which entered service for Spitzke in April 2023:
- 90 80 2248 028-3 D-SLG = Spitzke 248 028 > MMAL 02.03.23, and
- 90 80 2248 029-1 D-SLG = Spitzke 248 029 > MMAL 22.02.23.
They have been released with new stickers, part of the same red/black/blue design used on Spitzke Smartron 192 007 in 2019 (out of service since its crash in 2022). To achieve a good contrast, the digital lines/flows in red have been placed on a black background. Picture courtesy by Martin Voigt:
