The Italians say it straight as it is: Leave the car and get on the train. If nothing else, it’s greener, just like the two Trenitalia trains that promote this campaign on the route between Rome centre and the Fiumicino airport.
Two tones of green are applied on unique stickers of ETR 621 018 and ETR 621 021 in operation. The colour represents the green aspect of train travel and the fact that this Rock unit comprises 97% recyclable materials and has a 30% lower energy consumption than previously used vehicles, its manufacturer, Hitachi Rail, says.
