[CH / Expert] This is the Alppiercer 2 design for SBB Cargo International

Slowly but steadily we are moving towards the delivery of the first Vectron locomotives to Südleasing and SBB Cargo International. On 18.11.2019 the standard design for the new DE-AT-CH-IT-NL locomotives was revealed. Most (!) of the 20 locomotives currently on order will get this standard livery, with a blue cab and the now well-known Swiss mountain design. This article explains how this design came to be and what to expect more.
