Saving up to 800.000 liter diesel fuel per year – that is what the Zillertalbahn wants. In 2022 the operator wants to start revenue services with the world’s first fuel cell narrow gauge passenger train. It will be the end of the diesel trainsets. Zillertalbahn has now released an update design and a video about its new zero emission rolling stock:
