Chinese rolling stock manufacturer is bringing a hybrid shunting locomotive to the table, during Innotrans 2018. The company announces it will present a 4-axle machine in the outdoor area, customised for Deutsche Bahn (DB AG) and complying with TSI standards.
The design features a diesel generator and lithium-titanium-oxide batteries. Two such machines will be built for the S-Bahn in Hamburg, where they will be used for transporting empty EMUs and maintenance trains.
