Vectron locomotives that are owned by non-German rail operators, such as GySEV, railCare, and S Rail Lease, are numbered according to local number systems. Many of these machines are homologated for operation in Germany, and therefore, they also need a ‘German-style’ designation by which they are identifiable by the German LZB (=Linienförmige Zugbeeinflussung) train system.
