On 17.05.2022, Berner Oberland-Bahnen (BOB) announced it would buy six ABeh 4/8 EMUs to get people out of their cars and onto the train. Even before these were put into service, BOB decided to buy four more units enabling the Bernese Oberland Railway (BOB) to expand and modernize its services. Now the first one is on track:
