In April 2023, Turkish state-owned rolling stock manufacturer Türasaş completed the assembly of the first Eskişehir 5000 electric locomotive. On 19.03.2024, the Türasaş Eskişehir Regional Directorate announced it started producing 95 mainline locomotives for incumbent operator TCDD. Now, tests have started:
