Alstom is modernizing 257 double-deck coaches for LNVG until 2026, a project known as ‘HU XL Dosto’. Metronom and Start use the Bombardier Twindexx coaches in Germany’s Lower Elbe region. They are now 15-18 years old and have thus reached about half of their service life.
