On 26.09.2024, Pesa and the Swedish companies Vate Rail and Hankavik signed a letter of intent for fuel-cell shunting locomotives. The first should start operating around 2027/28. The companies will also cooperate in providing customers with hydrogen refuelling infrastructure as part of a complete H2 ecosystem, including producing hydrogen from green energy sources.
