After the timetable change in December 2025, VIAS Rail will continue to operate the regional rail transport lines RE 19 and RB 35. The award committees of the NRW public transport authorities Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR) and Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe (NWL) made this decision based on the previous award procedure.
