[passenger] Siemens establishes high-speed rail production facility in Horseheads, New York [updated]

On 09.09.2024, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Brightline West and Siemens Mobility announced that Horseheads, New York will become home to a high-speed rail production facility. The facility will produce Siemens’ American Pioneer 220 very high-speed trains for Brightline West’s Las Vegas to Southern California line. Production at the facility is expected to begin in 2026.
