Between 29.08.2024 and 06.09.2024, aerodynamic pressure wave tests were conducted on a first-generation high-speed line in Germany („aSFS“) to investigate the effects of an ICE passing a freight train in tunnels. The tests are part of the ‘300 km/h on old high-speed lines’ project and took place between Hanover and Wurzburg. Matthias Kümmel reports with this camera:
