In October 2021, SBB, Thurbo, and RegionAlps announced the winner of their large tender for new EMUs. The operators signed a frame contract for up to 510 EMUs, including a first call-off order for 286 trains with Stadler Rail. On 24.05.2024, SBB announced a call-off order for 33 additional FLIRT EUMs. We present you the first train for RegionAlps and something more:
