[passenger] FGC modernizes Series 112 EMUs for the Barcelona-Vallès line

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) has begun work to renovate and modernize the 22 trains of the 112 series, built starting in 1996 by CAF, Alstom, and ABB Group and currently serve the Barcelona-Vallès line along with the 113, 114, and 115 units. The aim is to extend their useful life, which is 30 years, for a further 15 years and to provide them with the same services, comfort, and design as the newest trains, the 115 series, in service since December 2022.
