On 12.12.2023, Renfe 253 012 started its journey through Spain from Miranda to Irun with the first DSB Talgo train on transport buggies. The coaches are:

- 73 86 81-93 901-8
- 73 86 82-93 401-8
- 73 86 82-93 318-4
- 73 86 82-93 201-2
- 73 86 82-93 319-2
- 73 86 82-93 202-0
- 73 86 82-93 320-0
- 73 86 82-93 203-8
- 73 86 82-93 321-8
- 73 86 82-93 204-6
- 73 86 82-93 322-6
- 73 86 82-93 205-3
- 73 86 82-93 102-2
This makes 15 coaches, where DSB has ordered sixteen 14-car sets. But there is also the issue of the driving trailers, which were not included in the original order from 2021, as DSB was originally planning a Vectron locomotive on each side of the trains. This changed in 2023 with a voluntary ex-ante transparency notice for 16 extra driving trailers. So the current train with two non-driving end cars is a temporary solution.
