[DE] Alstom has to delay the delivery of Coradia Stream for Baden-Württemberg

Not only LNVG has to wait longer for their Coradia Stream HC EMUs. Alstom has also announced that it will not be able to meet the Stuttgart 21 deadline in December 2025.

Alstom will have 14 EMUs ready when the new Stuttgart station is (partially) commissioned, instead of 80. The manufacturer blames the delay in the tender procedure (a competitor appealed), the war in Ukraine, and general bottlenecks in the supply chains.

Landesanstalt Schienenfahrzeuge Baden-Württemberg (SFBW) closed a EUR 2.5 billion contract with Alstom in 2022, which covers the delivery of 130 trainsets and their maintenance for 30 years:
