DB has launched a EUR 500 Million investment program in the Munich S-Bahn system. It aims to make thorough improvements to the network, which is plagued with capacity issues, as well as the delayed second trunk route (Stammstrecke). We also get a glimpse of the new rolling stock that is to be acquired in the coming decade.
