[ES] Resurrection: Renfe to return class 490s back into service [updated]

On 19.05.2022, Renfe announced it would return its fleet of class 490 Pendolinos into revenue service under the ‘media distancia’ brand, after being stored for nearly nine years. The announcement includes a EUR 12 million refurbishment, which will take place in Renfe’s Los Prados (ES) maintenance facility.
