On 24.02.2022, Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) announced the complete overhaul of its VIRM-4 double-decker EMUs for an amount of EUR 323 million. This is the last of a series of overhaul contracts for VIRM trains, with all VIRM-1 having received an overhaul and VIRM-2/3 being well underway.
