Mitteldeutsche Eisenbahn (MEG), a jont venture of DB Cargo and VTG Rail Logistics GmbH, has recently made our headlines with deliveries of five Stadler EuroDual locomotives. MEG Class 77 six-axle diesels now get the full design of its 80% shareholder.
In December, locomotive 266 442 (ex ECR 77042, ex DB/MEG 247 042) was first seen in a full DB design. Not much changed, as the locomotive already had the red/grey livery that is also used for DB-daughter company MEG. Basically they just replaced the logos (and cut the white “Latz” in two).
Lately, three Class 77s have been seen operating freight trains for MEG, all in red/grey: 077 012, 077 023, and 266 442. The latter two now have DB logos.
