In mid-December, Railcolor News Experts had the opportunity to witness some behind-the-scene views, showing a “Convoi Exceptionnel” in Kassel (DE) with an ALP-45DP locomotive headed to the US. A month later, unit 4535 is already seen on American soil/tracks.

On 18.01.2021 Conrail Shared Assets Crew SK03 picked up NJ Transit ALP-45DP 4535 from Berth 17 in Port Newark for the last few miles of its journey to New Jersey Transit’s Meadows Maintenance Complex in Kearny, NJ. The locomotive is the first of a batch of new ALP-45DP locomotives that are upgraded to new EPA emission standards.
