At the end of October, Polish railway vehicle manufacturer Newag announced it had finished delivering the first two new-generation Impuls diesel multiple units (DMUs). The trainsets are part of the newly formed ’36WEhd’ series, a sub-series of Newag’s ’36WEh’, the company’s first hybrid passenger train. In this article, we bring you an overview of the first orders of both types of trainsets from Polish clients, plus information about their authorization.
