Earlier this year, Railcolor News brought you a production update on DB Fernverkehr’s TRAXX AC3. Recently, a very short IC2 train was spotted on tests in Switzerland. Blue skies, green nature and clear tracks – the trainspotter’s delight.

And by short we really mean short – a single TRAXX AC3 locomotive with a single TWINDEXX Vario control car, leading the test train. 147 560 was in the back:

The trials took place between Pratteln and Olten in Switzerland and Manuel Zettel captured the images in this article on the line between Tecknau and Gelterkinden.
