TX Logistik has announced the winners of its young locomotive livery designers contest. And a Harry Potter-themed locomotive won it.
TX Logistik recently launched a special contest, focusing on incentivizing the youngest livery designers to present their vision about the operator in a creative way.
Some very cute and colorful projects were submitted as a result. Once the online voting process completed, three winners were announced:
- #1 “Harry Potter” – a hand-drawn Harry-Potter themed motif, featuring the Hogwart School crest – by a 9-year old designer;
- #2 “Railway is our Universe” – a themed design relating with a spacial sci-fi feeling – by a 16-year old designer;
- #3 “Connecting seas” – focusing on TXL’s connection between the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean Sea – by a 15-year old designer.

It is not clear whether the winning design(s) will be implemented and which locomotive(s) will be wearing these colorful visuals. Stay tuned for updates.
