Ever since Newag introduced its diesel+electric hybrid train at this year’s TRAKO, there are questions if and when such trains will enter service in Poland. Two regions are currently in the race to become the first to add such trains to their fleet. After Koleje Dolnośląskie, another hybrid trains tender is in sight; The West Pomerania region is looking for 2+10 hybrid passenger trains.
