Special tours for representatives – sometimes they get to see new trains before we do. And if they then start sharing their impressions on social media, we see something special. For example, power cars for the Spanish railways under construction at Talgo’s in Spain.
Talgo is producing the new generation of high-speed trains for the Spanish incumbent rail operator, Renfe. In May 2017 the order became official, and Talgo promised to deliver the first train within 36 months, so that is soon. Renfe has 30 units on order. Each of these 14-car ‘Avril’ trains will have a maximum commercial speed of 330 km/h and a total capacity of 521 seats.
This morning myself, @SimonHughes and Carlos de Palacio @TalgoGroup have been delighted to host @Andrew_Adonis @Manuel_TSSA @tssa to our Las Matas factory to see first hand our train manufacturing processes. pic.twitter.com/A51blgMdKa
